I have been messing around with my Droid and recently bricked and then recovered it...what caused the problem last time was that I renamed the wrong file by accident, removing its .APK extension causing the phone to be unable to boot properly.
I had to flash the whole OS via fastboot to recover.
All that I really needed to be able to do was access the file system and re-rename the file to re-add the .APK extension. I couldn't find any way of doing this...but there has to be a way.
Is there any way of mounting the file system from a PC if the phone won't boot at all? Like you would with a standard PC hard drive.
How can you root mount the file system in general?
