First it's as close to "stock" as you can get without the actual Nexus. Moto radios are second to none as is the overall build quality. The camera is better. It's very quick and responsive. The extras are actually useful. The battery blows the nexus out of the water.

There is also a large development community. Not sure what else you could ask for.

People talk about screen resolution but at 4.7", it's negligible unless you do a direct, side-by-side. Even then it's very close.

And if you get the DE, the bootloader can be unlocked.
