Motorola Milestone X2 timing out but not turning back on

The last few days my Milestone will time out and then when I try to turn it back on by hitting my home screen button it wont turn back on . I try to hold down my power button and it wont turn back on that way. I have to pull the battery to reset it for it to come back on. Any ideas?
