I'm guessing you spent no time at the pools on your ship days? Sounds like you didn't.
I've been on a few cruises, after the one prior to this we swore off of them for exactly the reason Musty mentions. On this last cruise, we were in the Bahamas for 5 hours. 5...hours.
Now for us, in this one case, it wasn't bad. We did the 'Swim with Dolphins' excursion for my son. It was a blast and it was on another island so we had to take a private boat almost 45 minutes to get to it. So we saw MUCH of the Bahamas (including Beyonce's house, Bill Gates' and Michael Jordans).
But, of course there was NO way to get back to the boat early so we waited in the longest line I've ever seen to get in. It sucked. Then we were hungry... 1,000 people waiting in line for food. UGH.
When we travel we want to spend time in a place and get to know it. And the people who live there. I'd much rather spend 7 days in Puerto Vallarta, our home away from home nowadays..
It seemed they were understaffed as there were times it took far too long to have tables cleared. The pools on the 'at-sea' days are so ridiculously crowded, I hated to even be in it. But my son loves nothing more so we made the best of it.
