I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but if the "voice recognition" features are no better than the transcriptions for Google Voice, I'll be typing a lot. On the other hand, Google voice search does a credible job so perhaps there's hope.

not sure if anyone else has posted this yet but i just talked to the vzw store here in st. louis (south co) and he said 2.1 will be sent to select phones then on and on till everyone has it. he didnt say how long or when it would be compleatly done

o and he did say it was being sent strait to your phone from google and that they dont even have it at the store and its a corperate store

Oh wow. They did take it down! Now it just says "there is a release coming, check back soon" they sure are being weird about this update. Msybe they got word that everyone p'ed about the specs and are changin it up now. Who knows.

I hope they realized how disappointed everyone is with the fact that they didn't add 5 home screens, live wallpapers and the new app wheel. Maybe they took it down because they're going to add some new features? :motdroidvert:

At this stage in the game, I doubt it that they are still adding new features. One can only hope.

Motorola Retracts Android 2.1 Release Details for Droid

Thought this deserved its own thread. Any thoughts as to why Motorola would take down all of the release details? They decided to include a few extra feaures?
