I am still interested on where the mods are? Miami was all over this thing for the last 48 hours and today nothing!
He even started a sticky thread in the discussions section and said it would be soon and it could be as early as this past Mon.
Now it hasnt hit on 1/22 and he is nowhere to be heard from. lol
I am not bashing, just curious if he has some more intel as he seems to be in the know!

Miami was even saying that this "update" that some got was required before the big update.... lol.
Miami will know when the update is coming out either when there is an official announcement, or when we start getting the actual updates.... same as the rest of us.
Fact is, he should come on here and apologize for getting all those people so excited.

ive seen two dates come and go now. the one was someone else saying we would get a update on monday (nothing) then todays date (nothing) fool me once shame on...... lol i will no longer count down the days.., when its here its here. I almost feel silly now. Like i was waiting for Santa or something? Only to find out there is NO santa.. LOL LOL

you might have been one of those select few that got a maintenance update...for some reason, vzw pushed a little update, still 2.0.1, i guess before they push the full 2.1 update to everyone....
but yeah, it's the 22nd and STILL no update...i'm not holding my breathe...
What's needed is everyone to stop speculation.
Several sources have stated (including some tweets from Moto Mobile) that there isn't going to be an update "right now", and that they will pass along news when "the time for the update gets close" and this one:
Guys, we're sorry; we know you are excited about 2.1 updates to your Moto Android-based products, but we can't comment on official timing.
That tells you right now, right here, that gassing on about this all weekend isn't going to make it get here any faster, and that the update is NOT imminent. Who knows when it will be? None of us do, and the whole speculating and calling VZW (Yes, I know I have done my share of trying to get information, to no avail, I might add) to get info is getting out of hand.

But, it's not getting here...and from all that I can see most likely not this weekend. Next week? Who knows. None of us here do, that's for sure, with the exception of Miami1683, and he has stated before that his sources request that he keep information confidential.... I can respect that. Does he know something? Who knows? But, I imagine he will let us know when he knows something that he is able to tell us.

Info is only as good as the source.
When someone tells you something you tend to believe them if they've never burn't you before.
I'm sure Miami is totally above board and which ever way this goes, he will do his best to try and give us a heads up.
If anybody starts bad mouthing, I'm sure he won't feel obligated to share squat should he find it out.
If I had a choice, I would rather be privy to info from any higher source than myself.
This is obviously not a "Miami" issue or else Verizon and tons of other people wouldn't also be saying the rollout will happen this weekend.... Btw..the weekend is not quite here yet!

I think that too many of us allow ourselves to get caught up in the moment. We only had an earlier doc that mentioned 1/22.

Miami has no reason to appoligize.. He may have great information, however, me being a Media Tech have seen things that were scheduled, but, due to problems beyond control, had to reschedule.. Lets just wait on Miami and find out what he found out. I'm sure he is prying for info as we speak...

Agree 100%!! I dont want tnis to be a bash session on him! I was just wondering why he was so active in this conversation this last week when the "mat. update" started to hit and now has not posted anything about the subject now.
I know I got an update Monday the 18th around 1100! I am tech savvy enough to know what it was and have checked my build date against others. When I bought my droid I made sure to ask for one that had the 2.0.1 update already installed.
I am kinda of tired of people coming on here to tell people to calm down when in a certain sense most of those people started all this hype. I mean look at today, there are people saying "it's just rumor's and this has gotten out of control so relax and blah blah blah"! Well now they are spinning the propaganda machine the other direction by posting links and passing on he said she said! That is just as bad if you ask me by being a hypocrit!
This is a forum, if you dont want to read page 92 of "another 2.1" thread then keep scrolling on, no one is forcing you to open it! Matter of fact, how many pages did the "official 2.1 waiting room" go to??? Wasnt most of that about snuggie's and pizza? I believe that thread wa also started by a mod! So you can see, some of this hype WAS created by mods so we probably shouldnt be so quick to scald others coming here with their info!
Interesting post for someone who has 10 posts total. In what ways have you added to helping others on DF or going to the New Users section and welcoming people to DF, or just making them feel welcome?
I also have sources who were telling me things too, and Miami was hearing from other people what I was hearing. Have there ever been delays in things happening? Of course there have. So, I guess our sources were both wrong. You probably never had a Blackberry phone or you'd know how these things happen. My guess is you came from a Dare or Voyager.
Until you've ever added anything useful to DF like Miami, I think it's time to reevaluate why you are here...to be a part of the group or to come on here and drag Miami through the mud and be a negative impact on DF. You might as well drag me through the mud too, but I'm certainly not going to apologize either.
What have I added? Nothing... You seem to be missing something here? The info that everyone is hearing all over the place ALL comes from the same place. The message boards..... I may have not added anything to this board yet, but neither is someone that simply re-hashes rumors over and over to get people thinking you are in the know. I will tell you what I know up front about the updates..... NOTHING.
