Motorola Droid 2.1

I don't think it's by who bought the phone first since I know people who got it and they bought their phones over christmas and I bought mine the week it was released and I haven't gotten the update yet.22nd 2.1 will be out I guess they go in order of who bought the phone first gets the update pushed through first. Thats what the VZW rep. said also Flash isn't suppose to be in 2.1 according to the rep. so people who were saying that don't get your hopes up to high

I doubt it has anything to do with the order you purchased it. I bought mine at Wal Mart the day before it was officially released (so I would think I was one of the first thousand in the country to have the Droid) and have yet to get the update.

I got mine the day after it was released. So maybe it will be this way but even if its not if its leaked ill do a manual like 2.01

Two things first you didn't here it there first :icon_ devil: it was here long before there. They can claim the crdedit though. Also they are wrong for multiple reasons. The patch is necessay (inside information :icon_ devil
and 2.1 has passed as this article says. Now I usualy don't want any credit and that's why my screen name isn't on the front page .It did do a specific thing and onemore time. That's all I can say. As far as Android spin. I will link my VZW contact that article so we can both have a good chuckle :icon_ devil:

I've been told just that it's a patch. It' is necessary and is installed. Unlike his article
. I also saw a report of s user who was rooted before the patch and wasn't after the patch :icon_ devil:. I love that article. He even copied the picture we used on our home page :icon_ banana:. The least he could have done was link it back to us :icon_ devil:. I am out for the night though. I have a family also. See you in the AM. Hopefully I have more information to post by then

(1) I highly doubt 2.1 will be released on the 22nd. Maybe the next week but I won't totally blow it out yet
(2) Flash is not included with 2.1 but Flash 10.1 is coming by mid 2010. It is my understanding that we will see 2.1 before we see flash available

Is it possible that the message change on Adobe's site for flash player is because they do have Flash 10.1 ready for Android 2.1, but not for 2.0 (whatever rev you want to add to that). Maybe once we get 2.1 on our phones, we can go to Adobe's site and it will show Flash Player is available for your OS??????

I think if they did the N1 would have it already, and it doesn't. Now that's not to say the hold up isn't there. Maybe they want 2.0 (Eris) and 2.1 (droid) out before they add it

I had to go to a Verizon Store yesterday for an issue with my Droid. The sales rep who was helping me wasn't sure how to fix my issue, so he asked for help. Another rep claimed he was this store's Droid expert and offered to help. Since he said he was the expert, I asked him when the 2.1 update would happen. Without pausing he said, Jan. 22. Take that for what it's worth.

That wasn't the case with 2.01.
My dad bought his DROID three weeks after I did...and was in the very first round of OTA updates...whereas I was one of the last.
