Motorola Droid 2.1

I'm coming from the world of Blackberry where we are still waiting for 5.0 for like a year now. So I don't expect any kind of miracles here for a speedy release. I'll be glad if we have this before summer.

LMAO...oh how Blackberry makes people see the glass half empty. You are not a bb user anymore...already had 2.0.1 and 2.1 will be here faster than you can imagine.

I don't think so. The 2.1 update has been kept very quiet. Maybe they don't want the file to leak

I wonder why they wouldn't want the file to leak... unless its so they can have the liberty to add updates up to the last minute?

How the heck did we get hold of manual 2.0.1? Didn't some genius develop it after it was OTA and somehow figured it out that way? I know the manual was exactly the same as the OTA.

They just pulled the file from the same place that the OTA update was downloading it from.

I've been waiting patiently most the month, knowing that sooner or later 2.1 would get here, but once my curiosity around an actual release date grew too large I come to find all these megaton "hints" @ tonight! I hope you guys are right. I need a reason to get heavily re-engaged into my droid now that my holiday break is over.

i've been wanting flash on a handheld since i owned my first Archos....now it's almost here....should drive Droid sales like crazy (and maybe nexus).

Flash

I hear you. I think Flash represents more immediate value to me. Flash is prevalent on the web and being able to view that content on the Droid is going to be big news.

Possibly more news than 2.1.

lack of flash is why i sold my zune hd, touch, etc....no flash, no fun....it's a catalyst for everything interactive on the web.

I just have good information that 2.1 is VERY close to a release for us Droid owners :icon_ banana::icon_ banana:. I can't give you the exact time as I also haven't been told yet :icon_ devil:. When I do and can release it I will post it up. Though if you look around you may find a 2.1 official issue thread already up and locked for now.
