Moto X Pure won’t recognize the micro SD card

My Moto X Pure freaked out today. So I restarted it. Now it won’t recognize the micro SD card. I set the card up only the phone can read it to expand the storage. Now even the phone cannot read it. Any suggestions?

Have you tried shutting the phone off, remove the card, make sure all contacts are clean, reinsert it, and turn the phone on again?

The SD card got corrupted. I was unable to recover data from it. I lost a month of pictures. I am having trouble formatting now.

Well that sucks. I have read a lot of horror stories like this when using it as Internal Adoptive storage. I stick to external storage with all 4 of my phones and have never had an issue. Might be something to consider, unless you really need the extra internal space for apps?

The 64GB card is toast. I could not do anything with it. Lost everything on it. I have no idea why all this happened. The phone locked up and I just power cycled it. Then the trouble started.
