Man... it just brought mine from verizon yesterday... is that sear price advertised? I wonder if I take it to VZW if they will give me back from of the difference. I suppose I could always return it, pay the $35 re-stock fee, go over to sears and still make out...

Yes it was an upgrade. Sears online is the place for 49.00, idk if an actual Sears store carries the Droid

That was just the link i sent, if you go deeper it is the same price for an upgrade.........$49.00. The employees at Best Buy got online to check to make sure i didnt copy and paste to pull a fast one etc.........

Mine is an upgrade too. I am definitely going to call VZW after work and see what I can get out of them.

i envy all of you who had upgrades that convieniently coincided with the release of the DROID, prolly the most awesome thing to come to verizon

i paid 385 oout of pocket on ebay, and that was almost a steal

VZN told me that these low prices are from secondary sellers and they would do nothing for me. And did you know that the VRZ 7.00 amonth insurance has a 90.00 deductable WTF?

You do know that insurance only exists to rip people off right. Why would phone insurance be any different. VZW told me the same story and since I was all dilligent and mailed in my rebate stuff I can't return the phone and go over to sears. Curse my assiduousness. Usually I'm really lazy with rebates and they expire before I get a chance to send them in.

Oh well. I have to pay attention to the VZW stores and see if they drop the prices before March 20th.

Not everyone has the $90 deductible. Some are grandfathered in and it's only $50 :D
Where do I look for my deductible? I notice I'm also still just paying $5.99 per month for the insurance - which was the amount from my Razr (previous phone before upgrading to the Droid). I thought I've read some saying they pay either 8 or 9 $$ per month. Have I just been grandfathered or am I supposed to notify them of a different phone? Bear in mind I bought the Droid at a VZW company store and they did all the upgrade/plan renewal etc. paperwork. mike
