monaco metal case for droidx issues

Anyone have the monaco metal case for the droid x? It folds over and snaps together and forms a fairly nice case. Well it drops my signal at least 30% it seems like. The phone will not even ring half the time and has no bars and I take it out of the case and it seems to pickup a lot better. I like the case but it is not going to cut it if this continues. Has anyone else had these issue or heard reports such as what I am explaining?

It's not outside the realm of physics that your metal case is causing signal problems.....

Right , but why would they sell a metal case? My bad for not seeing that in the title when I ordered it but it is mostly hard plastic it seems to me.

They sell because they look nice and outwardly sound like a good idea.

The case is most likely going to interfere with your signal because its metal. Metal cases will absorbed some of the signal, thus reducing reception. Its just like being in a building with lots of metal beams. My thought, get a bodyglove case if you want something sturdy or go with a silicone cover.

They sell it to you because you think it will help protect your phone. They don't care if it interferes with reception.
