"Mobile IM will no longer be supported"

I received the following SMS yesterday evening:

Free VZW Message: Effective 8/1/12, the Verizon Wireless Mobile IM app will no longer be supported on your phone. Visit www.vzw.com/IM for more information.

If you remember, a few days prior to ICS hitting the RAZR, VZW sent a very similarly worded message out.
