mobile hotspot problems

i've never used the mobile hotspot before and am using it today on a long car trip. I cannot get any email to send. I can't really get it to load either. I have tried yahoo, hotmail, gmail and none of them work. some sites do not load or take forever. can't get my map to show up on google (on laptop). is this common with the wifi? i wouldn't pay $20 for this lol.

Yes, but I think the OP is wondering if the hotspot is worth the cost should he live past May 15th

Ok try http://www.droidforums.net/forum/thunderbolt-tech-support/136484-problems-3g-data-dont-hard-reset-read-first.html. There has been problems with the 3g data on the TB so switiching it to the standard 3g towers until they fix the problem works for most people.

Yea this phone does well if it has a good 4G signal and 3G signal but i've found many network disconnections when the radio swtiches between 4G 3G to 1X, etc.

I used the mobile hotspot for 3 days straight with no problem. I was not traveling in a car but I do not think that would affect anything . it is my understanding that you can load web pages but email does not work ? I assume you entered the 1 through 0 security code ...
