Mobile connection lost. Trying to reconnect on WIFI.

I just switched over to using the Android power control widget from the Motorola widgets. Upon doing so, now when I switch between wifi and 3G connections I get that stupid notification on my screen. Is there any way to shut that off or do I just have to deal with it? I never saw it when I used the Moto widgets.
