MMS not working after rooting

Did the Z4root without any problems. Have busybox, titanium backup, an overclocker. Not much else yet. But, now cannot retrieve pictures sent to me by text messaging since rooting. Have message to download, but never works. Wife has same phone, but pristine - not rooted. D2G on Verizon. Is there a setting I need to change?

what messenger are you using?

Whatever came with the phone. Went to applications and it just says version 2.2. Must be Verizon's messaging software. Is there another one I can or should use?

there are plenty of 3rd party messaging applications to choose from on the market. the most popular is probably handcent sms which i use. when i get an mms message it has a download button which you press and then the file should show up. i don't really remember much about the stock messenger to be honest

Looking at marketplace and, yes, handcent seems to be best rated. Will give it a try.

Nice program but it will not download picture either. Must be something with rooting and the required applications. Going to work on it for a bit and if no success, unroot.

Unrooted and all is well. So much for rooting. Same thing when I had an iPhone from work. Jailbroke it but not much different than standard phone. Guess I am just not a hacker.
