Missing Facebook Sync

I'm having the same issue. I changed and fixed all my privacy settings is Facebook, but that didn't fix anything. Anyone get this working? I'm assuming its an issue with motoblur?

I adjusted all settings in online FB so i get no notifications and then I uninstalled the FB app on the phone. I no longer get any notifications.
D2 rooted stock.

I recently emailed Motorola customer support about this very issue (as well as not being able to fully turn off haptic feedback) and am waiting for a reply. I really don't get it. Apparently you could force a sync on the Droid 1 but you can't on the 2. They really need to address this, it doesn't make sense. I understand that they're going for seamless integration or whatever but at least give us the option, especially since it was there before. On the incredible you can do it from the contacts app. Doesn't Motorola realize this makes their method inferior? Don't get me wrong, I love my droid, but come on. Don't try and fix what isn't broken. Especially if you're gonna end up breaking it.

I use syncmypix from the android market and it works just fine on a once per week schedule. however, ive noticed that when i go to my contacts, and it shows their facebook status and what not... its from a month ago... does anyone know how to get that to update? every time my girlfriend calls me, it has a super old status of hers from facebook that im sick of seeing. anyone familiar with this and can halpppppp?

I've got my pictures synced (for now, not sure if it will "stick") by doing the following:

1. Delete facebook account from Droid2 (settings -> accounts -> facebook -> delete)
2. Uninstall facebook for Android app
3. Re-download facebook for Android app from the market (DO NOT re-add account in the OS yet)
4. Once facebook for Android is done installing, go to Accounts. You will see two facebook icons now. I clicked the smaller/darker one and re-added my account
5. Wait a while. Your pics will now be re-downloaded.

*NOTE: If you have a lot of linked contacts, like I did, this process may bother some of those links. I'd recommend going back through your contacts and verifying they are all linked the way you want. Most of my contact links were preserved, but a few needed re-linking. Took all of 10 minutes or so.

I did this a few minutes ago, so we'll see if it updates as my friends change their profile pics.

I was wondering about this too... I added a few people I met over the weekend but they dont appear on my contact list and I was wondering how the hell I can sync them. After browsing the net I havent found anyway how to do it.
I feel like the only way to do it is by removing the FB account and reinstalling it...

Edit*** I cant even delete my facebook account from my accounts!

Ya I have the same problem, and they need to fix it soon. It's driving me crazy, I took FB off and added it back and it did update after hours but thats it now it doesn't update to new pictures or anything. It's making me crazy why can't we just sync.

Do a battery pull... I contacted motorola today and the lady recommended a battery pull. After I did that all my contacts were updated with new pictures and new friends.
