Messaging App - Opening up other apps :(

I don't know why this is, but it has happened lately with Rubix, Tranquility and Liberty. I solely use ADW Launcher and the stock messaging app. Regardless if I have the messaging app icon in the bottom bar or just on one of the homescreens, at times when I click it, it opens up one the the previous applications I had open rather than the actual messaging app!!!

This has been kinda annoying. The only way for me to send a message when this happens is to either A) wait for someone to text me and click on it via the pulldown bar or B) open up the Gallery and click on a picture and share it via the messaging app. The B) method won't even bring up any of my older text messages. It will just let me text whoever I put in the To: area.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My best advice would be to go into multiple apps and clear all data and cache. Do that on ADW and the stock Messaging app among others.

If the problem persists try one or all of the following:

1. Uninstall and reinstall ADW,
2. Under Manage Applications/All/ADW/Clear Data and Defaults,
3. Switch, even temporarily to another launcher (Launcher Pro or Zeam),
4. Try one of the alternate messaging apps (Handcent?)
