message not sent

i keep getting message not sent in my notifications. Ive tried disacarding the message i even took my battery out and put it back in and this message comes right back any idea whats going on?

Have you tried to just clear the notification? Does it still come back? Perhaps you have more than one message that was not sent. Have you tried to click on the notification and see which thread it brings you to? If the thread does not have any messages not sent, try to delete thread and see if that gets rid of notification.

ive actually done all those things and I keep getting the notification. The notification comes if i get a message or if i send a message. But there is no message that was never not sent.

Have you tried clearing the cache and data in the app, by going into manage applications in the settings menu?
Menu>settings>applications>Manage applications>Menu>Filter>All
Find Messaging and select clear cache, clear data (the latter may delete all threads, so if you have any messages you want to save do that before the above steps)
