media player to thunderbolt

Ok i had no problem with my old android. But media player will not find this phone. I am running vista which i dont love but I have tried a multiple of things and it wont sink the music.
HELP!!!

I would but the droid wont even come up. It wont load device. So its like not there.

Did you try plugging it into another usb slot? My comp only recognizes my phone on 2 of the 4 on mine :/
