I have to power my Droid X down at least every three days or so when the GPS stops working. So, if you haven't tried it, just hold down the power button until you get the power down option. When it's finally all the way off, wait a bit, then hold down the power button until the Motorola logo appears and the phone restarts. That will take a while, so be patient.
