Manual Update to FRG22D

I'm assuming many people on here have already looked into this but i just did it and everything is working fine and Flash 10.1 is installed on my phone.

Manually Update Motorola Droid to Froyo FRG22D and Install Flash 10.1 | Android Phone Fans

Also if i did this will this affect future(if any) OTA's that come out for this device? And will i still receive a prompt for the OTA?

no it does not affect future OTA. it's the same update you'd get OTA and sicne you already have it, you won't receive the OTA.
