Hi guys, can anyone tell me which is better for the GNEX......GoSMS Pro or Handcent. I would like to have some colour here like the Galaxy S. I have also heard for you to run this you would have to disable the standard sms that comes with the GNEX. Is this true?
Don't want to do something and regret it :p

I use handcent and love it. My friend uses gosms and likes it but he is going to try handcent. And you don't have to do much just disable the notifications so you don't get doubles. Nothing to regret there's nothing being done really

I use go launcher and go locker and like them so far but have not tried their sms program. I have however had handcent and loved it!

they are both pretty similar. i think go sms has more themes available, and i probably overall, more customizable. i also think it is slightly smoother.
however, i think it may be too complicated (i could not create my own theme to my liking for some reason, they have some weird "constraints" on different parts of the theme maker app)

i am currently using a modified version of the black theme in handcent (with ICS color theme) and love it. it is simple, fast, and works great.

I use Go Sms as well, very similar to Handcent...I think it comes down to preference and how it reacts on your phone...

hi guys. I tried both of those apps and they both work fine but handcent is better. the only problem with my phone is that the music suddenly stopped playing and could not be accessed. Once i unloaded the app it came back, really frustrating:mad:. Another app stopped the camera from working had to unload that too!
BTW I have a stock standard GSM GNEX, Maybe that is the problem?

I downloaded Go SMS Pro last night and so far I'm not impressed. I don't like the message box that pops up. I guess I'm used to the iPhone messaging app.

Get rid of the pop-up. Handcent is totally customizable.

I will as soon as I figure out how. Total noob here.

Also, how do I turn off the default messaging app? I don't need the messages going to two different apps.

How the heck do you forward a message with Go SMS Pro?

To turn off notifications in "native" app, open the app. In settings (within the app...) uncheck notifications.
