Mail notification

The envelope notification in the upper left doesn't reset after I view email, should it?

If I use the notification bar to navigate to my email then it does disappear as it should.

It should clear itself once you read the e-mail.

If I get a notification on my phone for an e-mail and then check it on my pc, the envelope will clear itself almost instantly once I read the e-mail on my computer

I no longer receive a notification for new email, when I open gmail it will show I have a number of emails, but they won't show up untill I resync. No setting will remedy.

maybe an issue with the ROM you're running?
