Low Battery life Galaxy S5

Hi ... just found this forum

After starting the day fully charged by the evening my battery is flat despite only making a couple of calls andno other use.
my original phone was bought 18 months ago but recently developed a fault and car phone warehouse replaced it a month or so ago.
Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum ...it's possible some app is draining your battery ..download GSAM battery monitor from playstore ...charge phone full...let's monitor what might be causing issue ..let it go till to 15%...then post screenshot of GSAM results first screen and app usage screen ...are you in good reception area ? Anything you might be syncing frequently like email ..Facebook..music ...etc

Thanks My grandson instaled my only ap (Local paper) which I've now canceled.
He also enabled my phone so I can acess my emails

I have that icon on the phone but after clicking it and going to the first screen I'm stuck on how to procede

Check the settings on email to see the sync time ..is it Gmail or another email ?

The app just monitors..you won't need to do anything ..it gathers data on usage of battery ...charge phone full and when you unplug it Gsam will start monitoring

I'd do what BK said, GSam is a very helpful app.

A few other things can result in poor battery life as well such as signal strength, phone holding a signal, background apps, etc. So where you live or frequent, does it have a good signal?
