long press input method for typing numbers

Hi all

Just got my new droid pro after using nokia e71 for years.

I would like to be able to type numbers and symbols by pressing a long press on the button which the number is on him like i used to do in my nokia e71. Is it possible ?
I dont like to use the alt key for that.

I can do this using the swype application. Give it a try and let us know if that was what you were talking about.

Swype helped a litlle but not enough. Stil looking to make my hardware keyboard work like nokia e71.

Any other idea?

Understand what u want as I also Nokia E series fans for years.

If ur phone is rooted, u may try button remapper.
