Change input method quickly

If I have 2 input methods from 2 apps, can I can the input method by physical keyboard rather than press and holding the text field?

There is an one program that I can think of of the top of my head but it requires that 1) you be rooted and 2) that for one of the entry methods you use landscape orientation. See here....
