Lock Screen options...

Is there a way to get another lock screen? To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of the Miui one. I know market had couple of options, anywhere else?

Love the rom and a big thanks to the devs for making all this possible.

And none of the ones in the Market work very well.. .for instance, with Lock 2.0, if you pull down the notification bar, or hit the "home" button, it simple unlocks the phone. No security... it also doesnt boot into the lock screen like the built in unit.

Since MIUI is honestly an iOS style Launcher (dont deny it, its made to look like an iPhone with their launcher) they should have done a slider style lock screen. I also HATE the MIUI lock screen... I love the UI, but everytime I wake up my phone, I shutter at its ugliness.

I figured that I was in the minority which is why I never suggested a different lock screen in the suggestions forum. What I wish is that there was a reliable alternative without having to rely on the market, as those are not viable options either.

I like the lockscreen in MIUI. Mainly for he purpose of reading text message without having to up lock the phone. Why is the market not a viable option?

You do realize that the MIUI lock screen is a slider lock screen, right?...

The Market Lock screens run as Apps, not an integrated security feature on the phone. Most are buggy, do not start when the phone is booted, and mnay do not work as advertised. Many drain the battery, etc...

Im definitely not brave enough to try this lock screen being as old as it is. Thanks for the link though, Im sure there ARE plenty of other options, I simply have not researched it all out very much.

I also would suggest you try WidgetLocker. This happens to be one of the elite lockscreen programs and more.

I may be wrong, but doesnt Widgetlocker only add widgets to the current lock screen?

Nope, It also has the Droid2, HTC, IPhone lockscreen options as well.

Well then that is great news. I will give it a shot. I always though it was simply an addon to add widgets to the lock screen.
