Location services just not working at all anymore?!?

No I didn't change anything and yes "use wireless networks" is enabled in my settings.

1) Facebook checkins stopped working a long time ago. Just says "loading" forever (but it works if I'm on a wifi connection OR if I have GPS enabled on a 3G connection. It USED to work with 3G and no GPS).

2) Google Maps no longer displays my location unless I have GPS enabled... cell tower triangulation USED to work with a 3G conenction and no GPS. Now it just says my location is temporarily unavailable.

Any thoughts on this? I have already done the usual rebooting, pulling the battery, disabling/re-enabling settings.

gMap has been doing that to me for a while now. I didn't think much of it cause I started leaving the GPS on the whole time and it wasn't draining my battery like crazy. I think the GPS, even if it's enabled, doesn't really get used unless u open up apps like gMap. I could b wrong about that. Did u recently update ur phone or anything?
