link phone book to car

My motorola droid connects to my bluetooth, but will not download my phone contacts to my car. I bought a 2010 Mercedes E350. My husband's Blackberry downloaded fine. Not I want my Motorola Droid to do the same thing. The dealer said it is not the car, but something in the phone.

Mine down loads the contact list. When I initially pared the phone to the car radio, it wouldn't do the transfer. Screwed with the thing for 30 minutes. Gave up and shut the car off. Little later got in the car, the phone connected and the contact list downloaded. So, after the initial paring of the phone to the car. Try shuting down the car and then power up again.
I have a 2010 KIA Forta.
