Liberty 1.5 Known Issues

I just switched back to Fission due to the reboot once every ~48 hours. It's like clockwork. About 48 hours goes by and BAMF, around the time I last installed Liberty, reboot occurs. It's like there is some script somewhere doing it.

I tried everything else before..SBF, clean install, formatted the SD card, etc. Nothing seems to matter and lack of apps doesn't matter either.

When the reboot issue is fixed..I will be back on tihs faster than anything. For now, back to Fission so as not to get stuck in a reboot.

I just experienced an issue. Apparently I can't reboot when connected via USB to a computer. It boots into this screen that say bootloader OK, press ok to program and hangs there.

Any ideas?

I was the same way, until I tried Liberty a second time. I freakin' love it! It's miles ahead of Fission as far as development.

2nd run with Liberty going well so far, no reboots, no major issues to report.

Noticed at least few bugs though.
1. Overclock settings do not do anything (settings/liberty settings/Overclocking). The typical solution seems to be to suggest purchasing an overclock app. Fine, but get the settings out of toolbox if they don't work.
2. Trying to install any Add-ons from Liberty Toolbox in landscape mode fails and crashes app.
3. If there are any corrupted downloads in sdcard/liberty/downloads trying to install associated addon from liberty toolbox fails

It would also be nice to queue things in Liberty Toolbox (like FRM does) and be warned before reboot. It stinks to click Blur Alarm clock for example (while in landscape mode) and get a automatic reboot and corrupted install. Pretty much everything in the GUI should be tested better. I found these issues within a few minutes of playing with Liberty.

It's weird to see people here argue over this rom being completely buggy or totally flawless.. Anyone claiming it's 100% flawless is either exaggerating or hasn't used it much. Seems like it's working well enough to keep using, but long long way from flawless.

Show me a 100% flawless ROM and I'll sell you some ocean front property in Indiana.

The Liberty ROM itself is close to 100% flawless. All the bugs you reported are in the Liberty toolbox, which has been admitted to need work. So I stand behind everyone claiming the ROM itself is virtually flawless because it is. Basically every bug you listed .. Liberty Toolbox, not Liberty ROM, although they work hand in hand.

Fair enough, but the toolbox is "shipped" with the ROM, so saying it's unrelated is a technicality that will be lost on users.

From what I've seen so far with this ROM, if we ignore oc and toolbox, been flawless for me since I did a factory reset and sbf before installing liberty 1.5.

Disconnect PC cable at reboot is the solution. I had this same issue with other ROMs.. It's a clockwork thing not Liberty.

ah.....yeah disconnecting and rebooting worked. I just didn't know if there was some setting I could change that would fix it.

sorry to imply that this was a Liberty issue.

My phone boots into bootloader anytime I reboot while connected to my laptop, always has. Did it the very first day I had my x, bone stock, no root, no mods.

I don't know of any settings that have anything to do with that. Doesn't mean there aren't any, but I'm still learning about android myself. Sorry

I'm having the issue of not being able to re-size fonts. I can select whatever size, but once I back out of Font Size and go back to the Liberty Settings screen it reverts back to the default/Normal size..

My buddy lost his contacts.....any pointers on retreiving them?

if he backed up his contacts through verizon, you can actually go to the verizon website and pull up the list. however, you have to put it all in manually.

U can go to the verizon website and then backup assistant and select all contacts and export them and add the file to gmail in the contacts section..and ur done.
