Liberty 1.5 Known Issues

I know it's due to the theme, I'm just wondering what the default settings in that menu are and if they need changing. Don't want to go to the trouble of flashing a different theme if I don't really need the menu anyway.
I misunderstood your post, sorry. By default mine had roaming on, networks automatic - the same as those screenshots show.

Cool thanks, so no need to really change the default settings? I like the cyan galaxy theme and I can live without that menu as long as it's not gonna mess up my service or anything.

Any idea on the market FC? I didn't have the problem for the past couple days until I wiped data/cache trying to fix the mobile nextworks issue.

I have fixed permissions twice now with now luck and reflashed the ROM. It will open and act like it's going to work fine for about 10 seconds then force close. After that it fc's immediately when I open it until I clear the data for the Market app.

On the market FC I'm not sure what to tell ya, you've done all the things I would say to try, clear market data and cache from settings, fix permissions... I forget if you said or not but are you running a theme or the default? either way try installing a different theme, just kinda steer clear of the cyan galaxy until we get a fix for the menu issue, lol

Having the same problem. Using the UD Theme on Liberty 1.5 and my market will boot up fine and search fine (takes about 25 seconds to even load in the first place), but as soon as I click a category withing Applications or Games it freezes and force closes. Tried clearing data and cache multiple times, no go.

I restored back to my stock nandroid, wiped data, flashed liberty 1.5, and now it works. I'm sure you could remove market and reinstall using adb or terminal but this was easier and quicker for me.

An update on my battery issues: I let my phone die completely, charged it completely, then wiped battery stats.

Just took this screenshot, my phone dropped down to 50% battery right before I did

snap20110206_210639.png

Jordan8: I did the same, you must barely turn your screen on though.

After 9h 30m I'm at 20% with these stats:

Display 75%
Cell standby 5%
Android system 4%
Phone idle 4%
Voice calls 3%
DroidForums 2%
Handcent SMS 2%
TweetDeck 2%
Pulse 2%

My time on for display is 3h 3m so you know I've been using my phone and not using it as a paperweight.

Yeah I've been pretty busy with work lately, I only have 1hour 51mins screen on

8% of the time your phone has been unplugged you've had the screen on (2h out of 26h).

30% of the time my phone has been unplugged I've had the screen on (3h out of 10h - rounded up)

Hum..... after reading your last post about the blur alarm not working for 1.0 (which I know it did) I decided to test it myself.. and after installing it from the toolbox I can report it is working fine. I am not sure what you are doing wrong to be honest but like I said it does work

i tried it multiple times on 1.0 and once on 1.5 and every single time it would try to load in CW and say "file corrupt" or something of that nature. I emptied my DL folder prior to installing 1.5 too...

Well this is what I did, went into root explorer then in the sdcard under liberty/downloads erased the bluralarm.zip, then went into liberty toolbox and had it download the blur alarm, while this is hapening I didn't change to another program or let the screen time out(since I read in a previous post that doing so interupts the download) then it rebooted and installed with no problems and runs fine for me now. Hope this helps
I did this before attempting the install on 1.5, and it still failed to install. Im trying it one more time at the moment. I'll report back.

edit: well, it worked this time. i dont know why it didnt work last time, but whatever.

all i did was install fission rom manager which works on liberty and i went down and found themed markets...once it downloads delete the vending service for market in settings then install the new market and do a reboot then u should be fine :D

--hope this helped--
I'll post a link for fission rom manager down below
Just unzip the file and put the apk on your sd card then install.

Nope its not the color its just probably a corrupt file thats in the cyan galaxy theme it happened to me too.....just download the link i have in a previous comment and put that on ur sd card then install it. Then go into settings > applications > manage applications > All > Market vending (i think...) > delete.
Then go into fission rom manager and download the themed market and install that dancedroid
