Liberty 0.8 n Market

Im running liberty gingerbread 0.8 and it has market 2.3.4 and it does not upgrade to the new version. I think the new version is 2.3.6.

When I update to 2.3.6, I keep getting FC's. It worked fine on 0.7. Was something changed that we need to know about?
