The LG G6 is nearly ready for release. By now we know just about everything there is to know about the design and most of what we need to know about the specs. We have yet to find out any important information about software and features until today that is. The first feature involves the special way in which the new UX will utilize the unique 18:9 display. The LG UX 6.0 allows users to run two separate apps in perfectly square side by side screens. This could make for a perfect multitasking experience! Some of the stock apps will be able to utilize the two squares for the same app. The calendar app will be able to launch a full calendar on one side and a more detailed calendar on the other side when in landscape.
The next feature has to do with the camera software. There will now be a square mode. This mode allows you to shoot 1:1 ratio pictures which LG says will be perfect for sharing to social sites like Instagram. You will also be able to review the photo you just took in two perfect squares. The new Food mode will make photos of what you are eating pop and stand out with extra color saturation and quality. There is also an animated gif feature that will allow you to combine up to 100 photos in a loop for a GIF. I am sure these features only scratch the surface of what this phone has to offer. We will know for sure in just a few more weeks.
