LauncherPro on DX

If you install LPB, do you lose the "Hit Home Twice" Voice Command feature? If so, that's a deal-breaker for me.

Love the launcher pro on the DX. coming from original droid. HATE whatever the *&%$ motorola put on teh DX called software.

downside to LP, however, is that i need a calendar widget, and on LP, the default calendar widget doesnt update itself. It just shows the same three events that it loaded with, and never changes unless i delete and re-add the widget.

how do i get the default google widget back? or is there a better calendar widget to use with LP?

try out android agenda widget and link it with your google cal. it seems to work great for me and its free (with many widget sizes)

I have a question, i want to be able to switch between launcher pro and the stock one. I have the home switcher app but launcher pro always come up when hitting the home button even when the stock one is set to be the default. Any ideas what might be going on? Would really like to try out both to see which one i like more

If Launcher Pro's defaults are wiped and it still doesn't ask which home you would like to use, try uninstalling the home switcher and trying again.

Sounded like a good idea but didn't work. I tried it in various orders. Install LP then home switcher didn't work so uninstalled both and then home switcher and LP and still same problem

Anybody upgrade to the plus? If so, have you figured out how to get the pictures to show up under the LP people widget? I contacted the developer and he said facebook locks the photos and you need to download SyncMyPix to allow 3rd party access to the FB pictures. I still have not had luck and have only been able to display pictures for contacts NOT linked with facebook. The second I link them, BOOM picture gone. Ideas??

Droid X seems to have issues with the Facebook photo syncing. I don't think it's LauncherPro's problem, but it's hard to say since my Droid is deactivated now. I did get it to work with MySpace, but the widget AND contacts both displayed people's MySpace names instead of real names and I couldn't figure out how to change it back, so I deleted the Myspace account.

Edit: Ok, I got it working. Installed SyncMyPix and it's working fine. You might need to make sure you ALSO have the Facebook account deleted in My Accounts so the photos won't be locked.

Although I'm currently a fan of Launcher Pro, I have noticed that after awhile, there's a lag when I press my home button. This seems to get resolved if I restart LP, but I might not be willing to do this constantly. If anyone else notices this and/or has a suggestion, feel free to reply. I've already tried most of the settings (Droid hack, Keep in memory, etc.)

Thanks!

I am running LauncherPro Plus on my DX - I have not had any issues with speed, force closes, etc. I cannot use the Moto Contact Widget but that is okay as for me, I do not put custom widgets of contacts on my home screen and I have been experimenting with Fede's addition of the "people widget"...

Here is a screen shot of LPP on my DX...

What is that bar with all your messaging data? I assume the numbers mean missed/unread messages?

AND...

Not sure if this is a plus or latest version thing, but now can hide bloatware in the App tray!

The app is Executive Assistant - you can select what tabs you want displayed and when you tap on the tabs, you can open whatever app you want tied to that function. For example, I have Bloo tied to my facebook or Handcent to my SMS tab. Yes, the numbers indicate the number of missed calls, calendar events, unread email / sms, etc.

I cannot answer you last question - I use the dockbar so I seldom go into my app drawer so I have not worried about that.

Thank you!! That was me & my feet sitting on the beach in Cancun this past February - while it was cold here in Kansas, I was enjoying some AWESOME weather there...When I took the picture I didn't even think about the people that showed up in it - cause if I would have been thinking I would have been sure to take it of "other scenery" LOL...

I don't this question got answered. No, with LPB, you can still set your "Hit Home Twice" to an application, including Voice Command. Through the stock settings screens, I have mine set to Gmail and it loads fine.

Can someone please help me understand why I only have 3 home screens to choose from? I have the plus version now, thought i was only getting 3 because I had the free. I cannot figure out how to get into a settings screen or options area. Thanks!
