Killing 270 Orientation?

I carry my Droid X horizontally in a holster, and I find the 270 orientation in 2.2 very annoying. Is there a way to revert to the 90 degree orientation of 2.1?

Go to Settings / Display and uncheck Auto-rotate screen.

That turns off auto rotation altogether. I don't want that. I want it to work like 2.1 did. Any ideas?

No, sorry. I can't even recall someone talking about it. Not that I read everything. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will come by and give you some better advice.

In the mean time you can see what the forum search turns up. I have never had much luck with finding exactly what I want, but the serendipity factor often kicks in.

I actually prefer the 270 rotation, but then I don't use a holster.

Try "rotation control" by a guy named RPOR. That seems to work.
You can choose what side to disable.
