keyboard not functioning properly after ics

Did the ota upgrade a few days ago, and did a fr after. Keyboard was working fine, but now it suddenly won't type anything. Pressing C takes me to contacts, ect.
It's now doing just shortcut commands on the slide out keyboard and i can only type using the screen.

Any suggestions?

Does yours' light up in the dark still? Mine doesn't.

Mine is also doing weird stuff. Sometimes the autocorrect kicks in with predictive text and works normally, sometimes it just highlights the words to tell me they're spelled wrong. I'm not changing anything to cause it to switch between both modes, it just happens...

Yep, still lights up. Was working just fine yesterday too. Will likely fr again tonight and see what happens.

Btw, was rooted before ota update and retained root after.
