Keep getting new email alert, but there's nothing in my inbox

I've had my droid for about a week now. I have the gmail, and AOL accounts synced. The Gmail one works fine. My problem is with the AOL account. I keep getting an email alert and when I sign in there are no new messages. Please help.

Probably because you have gmail set up not to leave a copy in your mailbox.

This sounds like it's AOL's problem. If your mail is forwarded and AOL can't recognize the mail isn't there, talk to their customer service people. Maybe they can change a setting so that it won't announce mail that isn't there.
