[ROM] [K]IN3TX v1.0 |12/8/11|

So here's what I plan on doing: back to stock with forever root, install OTA, then flash my latest nandroid. Any problems with this?

I was just thinking of this but I don't really know if it would work or if I would risk trying it this way, but what would happen if I reverted to my first backup I did before I started my root career? could i get the update and then go on to flash Kin3tx?

I did this and it worked perfect. Here are the steps I took:
  • Nandroid backup
  • Went back to stock with forever root
  • Installed the update
  • Restored nandroid backup

What I was asking was whether I could revert to my very first nandroid backup from before I did forever root, roms, etc., and still have root, then get the update. Or would I loose forever root because Im reverting back to a time where I didnt have forever root.

Im pretty much thinking of a way of getting this root without having to wait till I get home and plug my phone into my computer and use the One Click fastboot restore w/root

wait, i just read it again. Is that what you pretty much answered in my previous post?

Ok... Hate to be the noob here, but I admit I am confused.

When I originally rooted my phone, (pete's, 4ever root 1.5 mo ago) I did a leaked OTA radio 5.7.893 update BEFORE THE Shifter rom and now the Kin3tx.

1. Is my update STILL the 5.7.893?
2. Is there any reason / advantage to doing this recent Version OTA version?
3. The Kin3tx is built on the 5.8.894 platform, but does not use the 5.5.894 "radio" correct?

Again, sorry for the remedial questions. But I have gotten confused with all the banter about what SHOULD be done for a better BIONIC experience.

I personally know I have had data issues lately, wondering if going back to stock and doing the OTA update will fix anything, or just waste my time.

Any help would be appreciated!

I would recommend getting the new OTA. Ive done some research and it fixes alot of things such as the high pitched screech you hear in music, faster camera, fixes the data issues, and does many other things.
