just replaced my glass in my droid

The infidibulator regulator was 3mhz out of alignment, causing a phase shift in the O'neal Diode. It was real annoying having to manually re-align it with a Cline regulator.

So, I opened up the secret access panel under the batter, and using a #3 flat blade screw rotational device, extracted the processor. Then, all I had to do was drop in the new processor and snap it in place with a 3/4oz cellulose impact device. Works like a charm!

Friend of mine cracked or should I say shattered his iphone screen. -30 degree temp and keys in your pocket = bad news. He ordered replacement glass from ebay, was going to replace it himself, took the glass off to discover the lcd screen was also shattered.
That's weird for keys in a pocket to shatter the actual LCD in an iPhone. It's common for iPhone glass replacement n00bs to crack the LCD in the process of disassembling the mid-frame to get at the glass/touchscreen part.

Feel bad for the OP.

Anyway, if someone is this unfortunate, it is possible to replace either the LCD and/or glass.

The good news, it can be done in about 30 min to an hour potentially saving you hundreds.

Bad news, it requires a complete disassembly. I've done it before on two phones (XV6800 and XV9800). You can usually find replacement screens on e-bay, and step by step directions on youtube. Only requires a set of small tools, usually a #1 phillips head and a tool to help you pry the phone open. Can't speak for the droid, but it's probably similar.

Another alternative is to replace the motherboard. Much easier, but costlier. But you can get away with buying a non-activatible phone on e-bay.

For all the douches who dont know how to use google and would rather flame people instead.... you know who you are :icon_ devil:

Here is the guide he was referencing: Motorola Droid Teardown - iFixit

Once you get the screen off in step 7, then you can get to work replacing the glass.

Or for those of you who are not so good with words:
