Just got pushed the 2.2 update. But some of the changes I was expecting are not showing.
- Should there be a google search on all browser pages?
- Some new widget on home?

Manage applications do seem different.

What else was supposed to change?

Thanks

Widgets aren't on the homescreen unless you put them there.

There is an automatic brightness setting now for the screen backlight. :)

Froyo has the JIT compiler enabled for enhanced performance. The CPU is clocked at 600mhz now, instead of being underclocked to 550mhz like it was on 2.0/2.1

5 home screens and within the next week you should get another minor patch that allows you to get Flash from the market. App draw is handled different. Changing home screen is by two methoids now. Etc Etc

I am not getting any more update alerts. I am sure a lot of my current apps have updates for them.

Actually, a lot of apps didn't really need updates quite yet... Also, an OTA update is still being processed, so not everyone has the most recent update that will require people to have a sudden rush or need for updates.

The stay awake app doesn't work.

How do you see the new home screens and the new browser? I don't see those.
Thanks

Stay Awake? I'm not familiar with that app, unless you mean Screebl. That works for me.

As for updates to your apps, you can check by going to Market, Menu, Downloads. Anything that hasan update available will be indicated there.

Sorry, it's actually called ScreenMode, that you can use so the phone doesn't lock.

I don't see where I can add/switch to the new homes. Or to get the new browser.

I think you're looking into it too much. What you see is what you get. Graphically, it is almost identical. The browser doesn't look any different, just works better. Same with the home screen. hit your home button and you're at the 'new' home screen. There are a couple minor new features but as I said, what you see is what you get.
