Just signed up for this forum but don't know how long I'll be here. I bought the Droidx 3 days ago and it worked great for 2 of them. Now it freezes up constantly, I'm apparently missing business calls, and battery pulls are no longer helping. I'll join the forums and see if I can get some help. I'd hate to go back to my Storm. Welcome! Good to have you with us. The X is a solid device. If you added a task killer remove it. Typically, task killers cause more issues than they solve. If you have not added a task killer take your X back to VZW. They should replace it.

Thanks, Mike. Actually, I did a factory reset, and that seems to have done the trick...for now. Thanks also for the tip on the task killer. I've been re-entering all of my preferences for a couple of hours now, and the X hasn't let me down yet. I'll definitely leave the Killer out this time. BTW..do you have any tips on reducing battery drain? I manually reduced the brightness of my screen, taking it off of auto. I hope that helps.

I have a Droid so lets move your thread to the X general discussion section to get advice from other X users.

Just a suggestion...take it as you will. If your X already has Froyo on it, then I would set the Battery Mode to Nighttime...it has worked wonders for me as far as battery life.

If the phone is still on 2.1, then get the 2.2 Update as soon as you can! I honestly believe the update has been the best improvement for the X where the battery is concerned.

Keep the GPS off unless it is needed, it is a killer on the battery as well.
