So if I use ondemand governor you need to have profiles set? Then how come the the stock frequencies were set ondemand but with no profile added? should I use performance. I did research on the forum and read on the thread jrummy posted and I did understood that userspace is useless

I think you are trying to figure out how to over clock yes?

Do you have Quick Clock as well as Droid X Over clock?

I have quickclock I don't know how to use it. I'm talking about the droid x overclock app has different governors and I'd like to know if you use the ondemand governor do I have to add profiles? My aim is to overclock as much I can but lower voltage

Use the ondemand governor for general use. It allows the cpu to idle at the minimum setting then ramp up as needed. Performance will sit on the highest setting the entire time which drains battery and generates an insane amount of heat. You should use profiles to progressively underclock your phone so that your battery will last longer.

I agree with the above statement. I use QC, thanks Jdog, to find safe ranges then use Overclock to set the profiles.....oh...and use the widget.
