Jellybean erased all my saved videos. WTF ?!?!?!?!?

I went to Files and saw none.

I don't like the new picture scheme. With then old setup you can touch the pic slightly and the date shows. This new setup is scrambled. What gives???

Beyond pissed....I'm sure I'll find more to gripe about... not my day.

What to do next?

If your videos were on the internal storage, than Yes it will erase all the videos & everything else on the internal storage.
When you do an operating system update it always erases (formats) the internal storage.
You should set the videos, photos & music to save to the SD card. The SD card does not get erased when updating.
I shouldn't have to say this but before doing any major changes you should back up somewhere else (like your computer or cloud storage)
As I always tell my employees just don't make the same mistake twice, know that you now better.

when you start your camera/camcorder app ALWAYS make sure that you set it to save to external storage. The default was internal storage and that does get wiped. I keep mine on the SD card and had no problems.

I would recommend downloading dropbox and setting your pictures to automatically upload your pictures as a backup. I do this with my pictures if my phone would die or get trashed I still have my pictures backed. I'm on unlimited data so I upload over 4g when I'm out but if you are sensitive about your data plan you can set your phone to only upload your pics over wi-fi. I hope that helps so this never happens again.

Yea I do the same, except I use Google+ to upload all my pictures and videos. I have the pictures/video set to be saved to the SD but use Google+ as my back up.
