Issue with Dialer While in Car Dock

With "sensor rotation" enabled while in call and mounted in car-dock, phone buttons ("end", "blue tooth", "speaker", etc) overlay on dial pad. This is obviously the dialer from the original Droid. Is there anything that can be done to fix it (other than disabling sensor rotation, which forces dialing sideways while driving)? Also, text and browser appear to be from Droid "1" and don't recognize "alt-lock" button. Can any of these be replaced with Droid 2 equivalents?

Thanks

Actually, "sensor rotation" doesn't have any effect (I assumed it would prevent orientation of phone screen from changing but it does not). Also there is a similar issue with declining a call with the phone mounted in landscape mode in the car dock (The "accept" tab is visible but the decline tab is not, and the aspect ratio of the accept/decline "wheel" is still in the portrait dimension and "left justified". For now my only solution is to rotate car dock to portrait orientation. If there are ANY sofware solutions please advise.
