Is there a way to add sounds to menus?

For example, when I select an option for a menu, or open a menu, to make it make a sound? I have these Metal Gear Solid audio files, for menu opening, menu 1, 2, 3, and I'd love to be able to incorporate them. I just feel like it'd be a really cool thing to have, kind of like different menu transition animations.
