Here's my question. Is it possible to get online on xboxlive without a pc in the hardware configuration? As in, buying the 99 dollar wireless adapter, and hooking it up to a rooted droid with wifi tether, wirelessly? Will the 360 recognize your phone as a modem or... all I wanna know is whether or not its possible because I have no pc.

I believe if you search the topic you'll see that it can be done, but could lag a lot, and you might use an unbelievable amount of data. Yes, data is unlimited but you will probably bring up some red flags at Big Red.
