Is it possible to turn off the orange battery led?

I have searched everywhere for an answer to this, and since I brought it up in another thread, I am hoping that someone can help.

Is it possible to disable the blinking orange led light that comes on when you have a small amount of battery life left? I am rooted now if that matters

While it can't disable it, you might want to keep any eye on the app called "Missed Call." It allows you to customize the color of the LED light based off email/text/missed call/which contact it is. It has a "service" for customizing your low battery alert, but none of the options within allow you to completely disable the light. So while this isn't a solution now, maybe you could contact the developer in hopes of getting it added.
