After many years as a dedicated Blackberry user I have finally switched to a Droid 2. I'm an avid user and devotee of Ubuntu Linux so I just figured the Droid would be a good fit. I've had my phone 2 weeks now and just yesterday got it rooted. Looking for a good backup application and then I am going to give Epic a try. I love the Droid but must admit there are still areas where it is missing the slick operation of the berry but kernal hacks surely to be down the road will address that I'm sure. I never kept a stock ROM on my Blackberry Storm either, I always went with hybrid OS's and they were always better that factory.

Welcome to the forum and "Dark side" (rooted). Check out MyBackUp Pro and Titanium. Both do an excellent of backing up apps and data. Both are paid apps in the Market and well worth the price!
