Intro to rooting.

Hi, I've just recently got the thunderbolt and it is my first android phone. I've Been really tempted to root it especially since I heard you can overclock he CPU. I was wondering if anyone could provide info about it because it seems complicated and I have no idea what some of the terms are such as kernel and sdk.

I was in the same boat on 3/17 when I picked up my first Android - the Thunderbolt. I read, read, and read some more. This forum and google are wonderful things. There is even a rooting tutorial video on YouTube. My phone is rooted, debloated and is running Adrynalyne's Kernel version 1.9. I have learned TONS in the past 2 weeks. Read! You can do it! Yeah dude, start reading. There are several rooting threads in the TB forum....just do all your homework before trying anything....IMO its pretty easy, but thats if you understand the process.
