Internet connection

I have been recently losing my internet connection Ok my moto Droid. When phone is on standby and I go and slide it open to use, that's when I see on my toolbar that I'm not connected.I have to power off my phone, then turn it back on in order to restore my connection. Any ideas?

When I bring mine out of standby, the WiFi indicator is never there...
It usually comes up in about 15 seconds or so.

Rather than power off your phone though, can you just turn off WiFi and turn it back on?

I usually never have my phone on wi fi. Most signals are locked anyway. I never had this problem till like three days ago
